- Today is the beinning of a new day. I have been given this day to use it as I see fit. I can waste it, or grow in its light and be of service to others, but what I do with this day is important because I have exchanged a day of my life for it. When tomorrow comes, today will be gone forever. I hope I do not regret the price I have paid for it.

Always, always deal from the top of the deck.
Trust everyone but always cut the cards.
Always treat people as you would have them treat you.
Always try to be as helpful as you can, but never ever be overbearing about it.
Never go home from work at night wondering if everyone still loves you, if they do, it means you've been ducking the tough decisions and are afraid of being misunderstood.
And if ever you are torn by matters of conscience, then dig down deep within you, to find the courage, to do what is right.
The Plan: On May 27th, 2008 we begin our cross country bicycle tour along the Nothern Tier Route. Starting from the Pacific Ocean in Anacortes, Washington, we cycle east through 2 countries, 16 states, 4 national parks, and over 3 mountain ranges, (the Cascades, Rockies, and Adirondacks) and finishing on the Atlantic Ocean in beautiful Bar Harbor, Maine. The Reason: To be free, to see the world, and to live your dreams! "Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?"

Hey guys --I like the lighthouse theme--sort of encapsulates the "ocean to ocean" plan. if you bike on San Juan Island (biggest of the San Juans) you should visit Lime Kiln lighthouse (where we watched the whales that time). Anyway, cool blog, nice quotes by Mike and I like the blog title. Where are quotes by B? Does Lynx suspect anything yet? Weasel always gets suspicious before we go somewhere, and the closer we come to having our bags packed the more time she spends sitting under the bed.
Anyway, looking forward to more pre-trip entries! Here is your first GOOD LUCK!!!
